The amphibian ex situ conservation breeding program for Colombian amphibians is coordinated by Beatriz Velásquez. This National Program was established in 2025. Its goal is to raise awareness about ex situ conservation strategies and strengthen the conservation of endangered amphibians in Colombia. Beatriz provides support for our in-country partners, facilitates collaboration among interested institutions working with amphibians, coordinates trainings and technical support where needed, and translates AArk CNA's into action.
